Americans United for Separation of Church and State is bringing Dr. Eugenie Scott, Executive Director of the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), to talk about “Creationism, Evolution, Education – and Politics”.

Dr. Scott is an intelligent and good speaker, and there will even be an opportunity to have dinner and talk to her after the event at Los Olivos Restaurant, 7328 E 2nd St, so if you are interested in this subject, the event should be well worth attending!

My name is Shawn Esplin and I am an advocate of Free Thought and general good sense and thought in general. To that end, I encourage people to seriously question the things that they have been taught, especially as children, because many of these things - religious and secular - are taken on faith until we actively choose to seriously examine them for ourselves.

  1. And yet no where in the entire document does it say anything about separation of church and state. Come on guys, at least come up with some new lies. Maybe ones that make some sense for a change.

  2. This site is dead, and unlike our Savor I don’t think it will be resurrected. God bless you all, and I pray that your atheist affliction is cured :D

  3. I have the odd suspicion that you two are the same person…

That being said, Uncommon Sense you may want to read the first amendment and then go read the works of Thomas Jefferson who wrote this amendment “…I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church and State…”

Please brush up on your history before you tear this country to the ground.
